Toxic Air Pollution Graphs
| Toxic Air Pollution is chemical agents that change the natural characteristics of the air atmosphere. Toxic air pollution causes a lot of death and respiratory disease such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema each year. |

The World Health Organization ( WHO ) speculates that four million die every year from toxic air pollution. There are more people die each year from indoor air pollution than automobile accident.
What are the sources of Toxic Air Pollution? Automobile is one of the important sources of toxic air pollution. Combustion-fire power plants, controlled burn, burning fossil fuels, burning wood, and oil refining plant also contributes to Toxic Air pollution. The byproducts of combustion create gases like carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide.
There are efforts around the world to control Toxic Air Pollution. The US EPA tests and controls the air quality by comparing levels of six common air pollutants. There are sulfur dioxide, ozone, particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and lead. The system of air pollution control is called, “ The Air Quality Index (AQI).” If the AQI is under the range of 0-50, the pollution is low. Fifty one to one hundred is normal. If it is greater than one hundred, the air is not healthy for sensitive people. If AQI is above one hundred and fifty, it is very polluted.
