Long ago farming was the number one occupation of our earliest settlers. Food had to be grown because grocery stores simply did not exist. Like animals, humans had to fend for themselves, which meant hunting or growing our own food. Humans and animals could not rely on convenient stores, fast food restaurants or grocery stores for our source of energy and sustenance, both of which are necessary in order for us to survive.
Now with modern technology and the availability of imports we no longer have to rely on agriculture and hunting for sources of food. Farming has become a thing of the past and due to the increasing population rates, land is just not available for farms. Instead, our land has been depleted of good soil due to pollution, severe drought or in some cases natural disasters such as earthquakes, water logged soil and out west fires have devastated our land.
In order to protect our soil, we need to be prepared against natural disasters by preparedness of such events. Campers innocently start campfires but then the careless camper can easily and quickly burn down forests and cause irreversible damage to our soil and trees.
We could save our precious soil by just being careful of how we treat our earth. Campers could take extra care when putting out campfires and people of course could be more careful about how they are disposing of their trash. Together, we all need to take an interest and save our earth.
