People who cook indoors under exposed fire are also causing pollution within the house environment. Traditional stoves can cause indoor pollution. People who cook and heat using traditional cooking styles like using coal, or burning the gas stove are contributing to indoor pollution. Several people may not have thought of it this way, but it is true. Even burning wood causes air pollution.
Indoor air pollution is as bad as outdoor air pollution. It can contribute to the ill health of the people living in the house. It is advised that people who live in smaller houses should have a well ventilated kitchen so that the air is not trapped inside while cooking. There are other factors also like animal dander and indoor molds that are caused by bacteria which amount to pollution. When people breathe in the air from these molds, they can develop serious respiratory problems. People, who have pre-existing conditions like asthma and bronchitis, can have more problems due to this. If you have gas heaters installed in the house, then it can cause indoor air pollution by emitting carbon. Carbon restricts the flow of oxygen to your body, and can also interfere with brain development in kids.
