Consequently, both these categories of hemispheric gyrates are known as cyclonic rotation. These hurricanes take place globally; hence diverse locations identify it with diverse names.
Mostly, hurricanes occur on the tropical oceans. These storms need immense quantities of tepid and humid atmosphere to subsist. But these hurricanes start losing its power when it reaches the ground or cold ocean level. Hence, they are restricted within latitude and the place of ground masses. Typically, on an average, the Northern Hemisphere experiences double amount of tropical cyclones than the Southern Hemisphere.
On average, Atlantic Ocean experiences less than two hurricanes each year. These hurricanes come to the eastern coastline of North America from the western coastline of Africa. On the other hand, typically, the western Atlantic Ocean experiences nine hurricanes every year.
Almost all the northern hemisphere hurricanes take place in the western county of the North Pacific Ocean. These storms affect various states of Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea, and North Korea.
In the Indian Ocean, the southeast Indian Ocean gets the highest amount of tropical storms in the Southern Hemisphere. On an average, it experiences around ten storms every year. About eight tropical cyclones take place in the southwest Indian Ocean every year whereas around six hurricanes happen in the northern Indian Ocean once a year.
