But these methods must be decided by the depth and severity of soil erosion of the particular area. These methods make the soil healthy and make the plants and trees to grow well.

For the gardens of the residential areas, it is simply the best way to plant flower plants, trees and crops on it. These provide a protective shield from the erosion. Wild flowers, vegetable plants, small trees and herbs are the best for preventing soil erosion. The creepers which crawl and spread around are also good ones for preventing soil erosion. .

There are many soil erosion preventive products also. One thing is matting. It is widely used for residential areas, vegetation crops, and vacant lands. Matting in wood fibers is environment friendly and biodegradable. The matting allows plants, trees, crops to grow through it. Also it makes soil fertile and stabilized.  It can be cut to suit to any size.

The third method of soil erosion prevention is mulch and fertilizer layer. The layer is spread over the land .It helps the land to soak in the water slowly and it penetrates into the soil. It also raises the pH levels of the soil. Any mulch and fertilizer can be utilized for this. This also prevents soil erosion well.

Water should not spill over to the outside area from the garden as this also causes soil erosion. To prevent this, a wall is to be built around the garden.
