| Biological Effects Of Ozone Depletion
Ozone layer is an important part of the atmosphere, and it protects us from the harmful rays like ultraviolet rays from the sun. The UV rays cause a microwave kind of radiation to humans if directly exposed to it. If the ozone layer depletes, then we will be invariably exposed to these rays from the sun. There are several serious effects of ozone depletion on a biological level. The biggest biological effects of ozone depletion are on humans. |

Humans will start absorbing the UV radiation from the sun in absence of the ozone layer. Also, when the ozone layer depletes, the atmosphere will have an increased surface of the ultra violet zone, and this can cause several health risks to humans, including skin cancer.
The ozone layer depletion is caused by pollution and today, there are several holes in this layer in areas where the pollution is very high. Some of the health risks posed to human beings are various types of melanomas, carcinogenic diseases, cell carcinomas, and cortical cataracts.
When the UV layer increases, then it also increases the troposphere ozone layer. Troposphere is very close to the Earth, and it is considered be close to the surface of the Earth. Ground level ozone is extremely dangerous for humans. The ozone gas at ground level is produced mainly due to the UV rays' interaction with vehicle pollution.
Ozone depletion also has effects on crops. Several crops such as rice depend on bacteria to prosper. However, UV rays can end up killing them and stop their growth.
