Save The Trees
| Global Warming can be prevented, and it isn’t just a theory anymore. Scientists all over the world have recognized that rising temperatures across the globe are all too real. You don’t have to be a scientist or a hard-core environmentalist to be concerned, though. |

Almost everyone has noticed how much hotter summers are becoming, or are dealing with floods or droughts. Luckily, there are many simple ways that you can help to stop the trend.
Plant a tree! Trees consume the carbon dioxide that contributes to global warming, as well as providing oxygen, sound-barriers, and shade. Planting a tree is a great project for the whole family, and can even become a birthday or anniversary tradition. Trees also provide valuable nesting space for songbirds and homes for squirrels. Not only will you be beautifying your home, you’ll be helping to stop global warming.
Recycle! Dropping your newspaper into the recycling bin instead of the trash helps save trees from being used for paper. Almost forty percent of waste in our landfills is recyclable paper and cardboard trash. Imagine how many trees we could save if those were recycled! Also, landfills would last longer, preventing the need to dig new ones.
Invest in durable grocery bags. These bags, often made of vinyl mesh or fabric, are washable and reusable. Using these bags every time you shop means fewer trees are cut down to make paper shopping bags. Also, this keeps plastic shopping bags out of landfills.
If we all do a little, we can accomplish a lot!
