Fertility of the soil reduces, which is nowhere useful for planting. This is a very slow process, that cannot be noticed, but at the same time it occurs continuously.

Soil erosion is a process which transfers some amount of soil from one place to another. Major factors causing soil erosion are wind and water. Soil from land is generally transported in the form of small particles. Soils from hilly area come down under the gravitational force. But a common thing is that a huge amount of nutrients available in soil is lost due to soil erosion.
