Desertification History

The Great Plains in the US is known as the Dust Bowl because of start of desertification. In the 1930s, the Great Plains were subjected to overgrazing and also experienced drought leading to the desertification. This saw many of the people living leaving their farms and homes, and moving to other parts of the country.

Pollution And Acid Rain

Pollution is directly related to acid rain. Pollution is caused due to smoke emitted from factories, industries and also vehicles. This amounts to the majority of the pollution caused to the environment.Most of the gases that contribute to pollution are harmful in nature. So, pollution is a form of emission that contains harmful gases that act against the greenhouse in nature. Pollution causes severe damage to the environment, and one of the effects of it is acid rain.
